Invitation to the NBC Nordic Snooker Championships 2019

16th – 19th January 2019, Stockholm, Sweden

To all Nordic countries

On behalf of the Nordic Billiard Council and the Swedish Billiard Federation we are pleased to invite entries for the 2019 Nordic Snooker Championships to be played in Stockholm, Sweden.

The tournament will follow the same format as in 2017 and 2018 with a total of 40 players, 8 players from each country. Closing date for entries 30th November 2018.

Entry fee 50 Euros* per player

*Note: to be paid in cash in equivalent SEK at the venue before first match start

Prize money Winner 1000 euros + trophy

Runner-up 500 euros + trophy

Semi-finalists 250 euros + trophy

Total prize money 2000 euros

High break prize – TBC

Note: prize money is based on a full field of 40 players

Please send a list of your seeded players (8 players plus 2 reserves) by email to all of the contacts listed above.

Closing date for entries 30th November 2018

Call for referees

We ask all participating countries to propose referees who will be available to assist during the tournament. Please send the names and classification of your referees along with your player registration.

Wed 16th January

10:00 - Players and referees information meeting at the venue

followed by round robin matches (5 matches in each group)

Note: the venue will be opened at 09:15

Thu 17th January

10:00 - round robin matches continue (5 matches in each group)

Fri 18th January

14:00 - Last 16

18:00 - Quarter finals

Sat 19th January

10:00 - Semi-finals

14:00 - Final followed by closing ceremony

19:00 - Evening banquet

The two main airports close to Stockholm City are Stockholm Arlanda and Stockholm Bromma

Transport to central Stockholm is via, Arlanda Express, Flyggbussarna or Taxi

We will provide more information on transport and recommended taxi companies nearer the time.
